Designing a travel search engine [AWS + Python]

Every weekend for the past 5 months, I've sat in my room and programmed the website i wish existed. Enter my latest creation, Aerocred.com.

If you've ever had a credit card, you know that credit card companies can offer enticing sign-up bonuses for people who apply to their card. Usually cards will offer Cash bonuses, or Airline point bonuses. I've signed up for several credit cards for the only purpose of earning the airline bonus so that I could book a future flight.

Credit card airline points can be used to book free airfare, but they're so difficult to use because each credit card issuer has a different value attached to a point, different partner airlines, and different search portals. Trying to compare offers and find free airfare is a nightmare. It can be done, but it's just a huge nightmare.

I got tired of it so I build a search engine to do just that. Here's the idea, you have a destination in mind but you don't want to spend the dough on the flight. Let's say you want to fly from Miami to Cancun with friends for a wedding. You visit my search engine, and do a search from Miami to Cancun.

My website compares every competing credit card sign up offer and determines that American Airlines AAdvantage card has the highest sign up bonus that will transfer for the lowest priced airline to your flight. You spend so few points on the flight that you have 30,000 points remaining and can then snag a hotel for two nights while you're there.

In summary that's Aerocred.

Building it was the easy part, now let's see if I can get it to take off...
